Volvo Group Purchasing is looking for IPS Commodity Buyer within the area of indirect purchasing based in Hameln, Germany.

IPS (Indirect Products & Services) forming a part of Volvo Group Purchasing is a global purchasing function in the Volvo Group, delivering global, regional and local purchasing solutions related to indirect goods and services.

For the next possible starting date, Volvo Group Purchasing is looking for IPS Commodity Buyer within the area of indirect purchasing based in Germany, preferably in Hameln

This is what you are going to do

You, our hopefully soon to be colleague, will take the lead in driving indirect procurement segments within Volvo Group Purchasing in Germany. You will have segment country purchasing responsibility focusing on areas such as optimizing the supplier base, securing competitive and quality asserted agreements, developing best practice purchasing processes. In other words, you will strengthen Volvo Group’s competitive advantage by understanding the business needs and the supplier market.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor degree in Science, Economy or Business Administration
  • Excellent in spoken as well as written German and English (additional languages are given merit)
  • Experienced of working with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Having business acumen with a procurement background & experience in any sector (indirect purchasing preferred)
  • International experience is meriting
