Job Description

Senior Design Engineer – Serve as an experienced engineer in a specialized and/or complicated area of assignment requiring limited direction and supervision; Plan, develop and complete engineering projects in CAD within an area of assignment; Heavy emphasis is placed on the level of expertise, knowledge, originality, analysis, interaction within the department and external organizations, and detailed documentation and report writing; Complete work requirements to Volvo Standards; Complete work requirements within Creo Parametric and PDM Link Software Packages; Ability to complete work requirements within KOLA; Ensure compliance with regulating bodies: ABYC, EU, EPA, SAE, ISO Determine the proper methods of design and verification required to complete any new assignment; Support CPM/PME with budget proposals for new projects; Construct a detailed time schedule from project start to finish; Document a complete product verification plan; Assure compliance with all applicable marine regulations relating to his/her area of responsibility; and Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management to support Volvo Penta goals and objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in Engineering and 7 years of progressive experience in the job offered or 7 years of progressive engineering experience. Special skills: 3 years of experience with Creo Parametric and PDM Link. Occasional domestic and international travel required.
