Job Description:

Interpreting sales, cost and other data with analytical takeaways and recommendations is an integral role within our Countertop Business. The Business Analyst is a highly visible position, working closely with top leaders of the organization and various cross-functional work groups. This is a highly specialize role with a plethora of challenges and opportunities to improve data visibility and decision making with the Countertop Division.

 

Job Duties:

  • Support the Director of Finance and the Sales leadership within the countertop division by providing routine sales reporting, ad hoc support, and sales / pricing analysis, for the countertop divisions
  • Build and maintain dashboards
  • Provide weekly sales performance review material and freight analysis to the Director of Finance
  • Perform variance analysis of financial results against budget, forecast, and previous years
  • Continually improve processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, customer service and sales
  • Assist management to accurately interpret information impacting the business and provide insight and recommendations for the business
  • Ability to travel to various facilities to fully understand how each facility operates, how products are built to ensure costs are correctly is assigned to products & labor by facility
  • Ability to work with Salesforce, COGNOS and other dating mining tools to pull data as needed to support analysis done by the Director of Finance

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, Finance, Accounting or related field required
  • 5+ years’ experience working as an Analyst
  • Data management experience, including knowledge of data modeling, data integration, data configuration, and general database concepts
  • Team oriented, accountable to peer team and managed team, willingness to seek improvements with team
  • Good communication, teamwork and analytical skills.
  • Experience with MS Office software - WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, PROJECT, COGNOS, BUSINESS ONE BI AND/OR OTHER REPORTING PLATFORM
  • Possess excellent communication skills in verbal and written forms, comfortable in front of groups
  • Problem solving know how and willingness to continue to learn and grow professionally
