Human Resources Administrator 

Bryan, Texas

As the Human Resource Administrator, you will be the primary ambassador for the close-knit, family culture at VTI. You will develop HR initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and have an integral part in extending our world-class safety record. You will be responsible for completing tasks that facilitate the day-to-day operations of the counter-top manufacturing facility that include but are not limited to updating internal databases, maintaining personnel records, payroll processing, purchasing, and more. This is a critical function vital to an industry leading, standard-setting manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:


• Enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
• Support organization staff by helping recruit, test, and interview candidates, counsel managers on candidate selection, conduct and analyze exit interviews, and recommend changes
• Coordinate new hire orientation and benefits enrollment
• Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and coordinating orientation and training programs
• Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees, schedule management conferences with employees, hear and resolve employee grievances, and counsel employees and supervisors
• Maintain correspondence with corporate Human Resources management
• Maintain office and plant supplies and inventory
• Lead plant safety initiatives as the Safety Coordinator
• Corporate liaison for implementing company-wide policies
• Develop and utilize HR metrics to determine opportunities for improvement
• Answer employee questions about benefits package and company policy
• Provide human resource and administration leadership at VTI Bryan

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and requirements:


• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to multitask
• Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

As an excellent candidate, you will:


• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or 5+ years similar work experience
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Be able to quantify your impact at previous employment
• Be familiar with ERP systems like AS/400, SAP Business One, IFS
• Be familiar with payroll/HRIS like Kronos
