Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:

  • Planning, organizing and communicating with the plant personnel to ensure optimum results that are in line with the production plan, established quality standards and are carried out in cost effective, safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Providing direction to plant supervisors to ensure operations and maintenance of all equipment are well coordinated to avoid unnecessary downtime and delay.
  • Ensuring all plant employees receive adequate training in required areas and that proper records are being kept.
  • Planning manpower allocations, equipment applications and all related plant production activities. Coordinating with maintenance department on equipment maintenance scheduling.
  • Ensure plant targets for safety, production and quality are met
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required
  • Work closely and communicate with mine operations for coal delivery and quality for the plant
  • Conduct safety meetings and inspections
  • Oversees all plant activities
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required in response to changing circumstances and the economical and physical environment of the Company.

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with a minimum of 10 years of related plant and/or mining experience, including 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Have the ability to learn quickly and maintain motivation even in the face of inevitable delays, setbacks, policy shifts and schedule changes.
