Job Description

Responsible for providing shift supervisors with staffing and current production information for; shift startup and shutdowns, lunch shutdowns and crew lineups. Directs the on-shift scheduling of equipment for; fueling, repair, pit moves and blasting. Coordinates coal blending with shift supervisors and tipple personnel. Analyzes on-shift equipment performance and utilization data gathered through the dispatch system. From the analysis provide real-time direction to supervisors and workforce including; reassigning equipment and identification of performance optimization opportunities.

Job Requirements

Monitor equipment and personnel to accommodate the mining and extraction of coal in a safe and economical manner.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate positive understanding of people combined with effective supervisory skills.
Provide a positive chain of communication in a diverse work environment.
Must possess working knowledge of safety standards, both state and federal.
Must follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Work individually or accept responsibility for contribution toward the team concept.
Implement necessary job assignments to work force to ensure a match of the work and equipment.

Extensive mining experience or Bachelor's degree
Plus good mining operations and equipment knowledge
Demonstrated supervisory / managerial skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and manufacturing systems
Wyoming Mine Foreman Certification- or ability to obtain within 6 months
