Job Description

Wylander Solutions, a recruiting company specializing in the construction industry, is hiring a Payroll Manager for ARS Restoration Specialist. For over 27 years their nationally trained and certified emergency restoration specialist have been providing expert service. This position will be located in the Newton, MA office. They are seeking a candidate that can provide exceptional attention to detail in the role of a Payroll Manager.The Payroll Manager will be a member of the Finance team whose main responsibility will be to ensure the accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry Payroll processing. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization.

Compensation:

  • $90,000 plus (DOE)

    Responsibilities:

  • Maintain payroll information by designing systems, directing the collection, calculation, and entering data
  • Process payroll for weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycle (multi-location)
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave disability, and on-taxable wages
  • Determines payroll liabilities by reviewing and approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer’s social security and unemployment
  • Maintain both payroll logs for employee changes, terminations, deductions,
  • Maintain all employee payroll folders to include personnel changes, direct deposits, liens terms
  • Post specialty pay premiums and post quarterly bonuses as applicable.
  • Review time cards for correct entries, job numbers and accurate pay codes
  • Work closely with HR and management to ensure time off is recorded and reported accurately
  • Process and maintain audit trails for all payroll transactions, including but not limited to liens, new hires, deductions, direct deposit, rate and position changes
  • Calculate and upload job numbers into ADP weekly
  • Run bi-weekly and month-end deduction reports through ADP to ensure accuracy against billing statements
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Job Requirements

  • 5 plus years of prior payroll management experience
  • Expertise in ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Managed payroll for large organizations (500+ employees)
  • Ability to work and maintain a confidential environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize tasks based on deadlines
  • Experience with Viewpoint and TSheets a plus
