REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

2. 5+ years as a business analyst, BI, data analyst, or similar role, preferably in a data warehouse environment.

3. Strong working knowledge of SQL and database concepts. Understanding of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

4. Be able to run complex queries to extract and transform data within the healthcare domain

5. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare line of business along with Claims data, Eligibility, Member/ Provider Rosters

6. Experience with BI reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

7. Proven experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, SSIS).

8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

9. Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or related fields is a plus.

10. Experience with data governance tools and methodologies.

11. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

12. Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

13. Should be a go getter and be able to work with minimal supervision.

14. Excellent multitasking skills and time management in order to successfully take the lead on multiple project requirements


JOB DESCRIPTION 
 

As an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of data warehouse operations within our organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, analyze data needs, and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our EDW migration and development efforts. Your expertise in both business analysis and data analysis will be pivotal in driving informed decision-making and optimizing data-driven strategies.
 

Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate and Orchestrate the SDLC requirement discussions as the primary DW Business Analyst

2. Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document data requirements for reporting, analysis, and decision-making purposes

3. Develop and maintain SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data for BI reporting and ad-hoc analysis. Must be a hands on SQL expert and able to run complex queries for data extraction and transformation.

4. Create clear, concise, and visually appealing BI reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

5. Design, develop, implement, optimize ETL pipelines using industry standard ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse. Ensure efficient data movement and integration across the data warehouse.

6. Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.

7. Help in developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and security.

8. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and improve operational efficiency.

9. Collaborate with data architects and engineers to design and implement data models that support business requirements and ensure data integrity.

10. Help in developing and implementing strategies for data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance to maintain high standards of data integrity.

11. Document business requirements, data definitions, and data lineage to ensure clear communication and facilitate knowledge sharing.

12. Provide support and training to end-users on data warehouse tools, reports, and data access procedures.

13. Monitor the performance of data warehouse processes and identify opportunities for optimization and performance tuning.

14. Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies in BI, data warehousing, and data governance.
