- Competitive pay rate of $36.00-$46.00 per hour, depending on experience

-Shift: Standard 8-hour workday, start and stop times are flexible

What you'll do as: Electric Plant Environmental Specialist:


- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations

- Maintain and submit environmental reports

- Conduct field inspections and oversee emissions control equipment

- Assist with permitting and renewals for air, water, and waste programs

- Provide guidance to plant operators and supervisors on environmental regulations



Work Experience

The preferred candidate might:


-Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field

-5 years of experience in environmental compliance within power generation or industrial operations

- Knowledge of TCEQ programs and Texas environmental permitting

- Experience with natural gas or combined-cycle power plants

- Familiarity with lake water withdrawal and reclaimed water re-use in power plant cooling

- Experience with TPDES permit reporting and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
