Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Horizontal Pouch Machine Operator to join our packaging team in a high-volume chocolate and candy manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining horizontal pouch machines used to package confectionery products efficiently and safely, ensuring product quality and consistency.
Work Experience
- Machine Operation & Setup:
- Operate horizontal form-fill-seal pouch machines and other high-speed packaging equipment.
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
- Calibrate and adjust Mettler Toledo scale systems for accurate product weighing and filling.
- Monitor multiple machines during production to ensure consistent output and minimal downtime.
- Production & Quality Control:
- Read and follow job orders to determine required materials, products, and resources.
- Inspect machine outputs for seal integrity, pouch quality, and labeling accuracy.
- Ensure packaging meets company standards and food safety regulations.
- Communicate with team members and support teams to maintain continuous production of high-quality products.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues; escalate complex problems to maintenance staff.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports on machine performance, production output, and any issues encountered.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standardized work procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with GMP and sanitation standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
Analytical, technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team.
2 – 4 years of experience as a Machine Operator.
Training and hands-on experience in safety techniques and requirements.
Training and hands-on experience with specific machinery.
Knowledge of various types of machinery operation.
Trained to handle measurement devices and tools.
