Job Description
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping machines running at peak performance? We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys working on everything from motors and conveyors to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a wide variety of mechanical equipment including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and presses.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Perform mechanical installations, upgrades, and machine adjustments using hand and power tools.
- Fabricate custom parts using welding, machining, and cutting tools.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory records using a CMMS system.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
- Comply with OSHA, NFPA, and Lockout/Tagout procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Work Experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience (3+ years).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Mechanical troubleshooting expertise; electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with extrusion, flexographic printing, and bag conversion equipment is a big plus.
- Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and safety standards (OSHA, NFPA).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must own a basic set of SAE and metric tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and operate scissor/man lifts and forklifts.
- Comfortable working in varied conditions including heights, confined spaces, and changing temperatures.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
