If you're a dependable operator with a sharp eye for detail and experience with plasma or oxy-fuel CNC burn tables, this opportunity is for you. 💼 Job Description: A CNC Plate Burning Operator is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) burn tables—using plasma and/or oxy-fuel torches—to cut steel and other metal plates with precision. You'll work from blueprints and technical drawings to produce accurate metal components while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. 🔧 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Machine Operation & Setup: Set up and operate CNC burning machines (plasma, oxy-fuel, or laser) based on project specs. Material Handling: Safely load/unload large metal plates using overhead cranes, jib cranes, or forklifts. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine cutting paths and dimensions. Programming & Nesting: Download, edit, or manually create CNC programs; nest parts efficiently to reduce material waste. Quality Control: Use precision tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to inspect finished parts for accuracy and tight tolerances. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machines and torches. Adjust machine settings or programs as needed to maintain performance. Safety & Organization: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
