Position Overview: Quality Assurance Engineer – Medical Device (1st Shift)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of Client, Complaint, and CAPA systems to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
- Analyze data using statistical tools (such as Minitab) to make informed decisions and improve process capability.
- Provide technical and statistical support in assessing product quality and reliability.
- Lead or support quality system audits to maintain compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
- Promote continuous quality improvement through training and the application of quality tools.
- Support the ongoing development of the Quality Management System by performing audits, trend analyses, and procedure reviews.
- Perform a variety of quality assurance tasks, including product inspections, testing, and release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions of new products from development to manufacturing.
- Conduct measurement system analyses to evaluate and improve inspection and testing equipment.
- Support additional quality-related activities and projects as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Work Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required
- Minimum of 3–5 years of quality assurance experience in a technical role
- At least 2 years of experience in the medical device industry
- In-depth knowledge of quality system regulations and their application to medical devices
- Proficient in measurement equipment and testing methods, particularly related to tubing
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Solid math foundation with working knowledge of advanced statistics (Gage R&R, capability analysis, etc.)
- Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
- Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
