Regular Full-Time (40 hrs/week)

Pay: $17 p/h, starting pay can increase depending on experience

Work Hours:

  • 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday
  • 7:30am - 2:00pm, Friday

Breaks

  • 10:00am - 10:15am
  • 2:30pm - 2:45pm each day (except Fri. afternoons)
  • Lunch, 12:00pm - 12:30pm

General Summary

Using standard tools and methods, worker will construct upholstery for automotive interior


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sew seams
  • Wrap wood with vinyl upholstery by hand
  • Glue foam to upholstery boards
  • Staple upholstery coverings to wood pieces
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Work Experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be dependable and be able to work occasional overtime as required. Previous work in an automotive manufacturing environment is a plus. High School Diploma/GED preferred. Must be able to read and write and be able to understand written instructions. Must have a good attitude and strong work ethic with good attendance and stable work history. Must be able to work occasional overtime as required.



WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical automotive manufacturing shop environment (hot/cold/dusty).



PHYSICAL: Must be able to push and lift approximately 40 pounds. This position involves manual labor using assigned tools. This position requires the individual to reach, stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and twist to accomplish tasks. Individual will be in various 'positions' throughout the workday.


EXPERIENCE: Direct experience not required, but must be able to read a tape measure accurately. Previous industrial sewing experience preferred. Flexibility and attention to detail are important.
