Job Description

Use your personal experience with behavioral health to aid families in the local Western Massachusetts area!

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Family Partner in the Family Resource Center program at Behavioral Health Network! Family Partners strive to provide high quality community based care.  They will plan and participate with learn families’ story, culture, strengths and concerns to create family support plan, and a CANS assessment.  Family Partners use effective models to ensure that family and providers understand each other’s perspective and information.  Teaching families how to identify formal and community-based resources is part of the Family Partner’s tasks. 

The Family Resource Center at BHN provides easy access to information and assistance related to health care, safety, employment training, education and peer support. Our goal is to support families to strengthen their bonds, connect to others, and engage in their community. Job Requirements

Family Partners at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field AND one (1) year of experience working with the target population OR
  • Associate’s Degree in a human service field AND one (1) year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth OR
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Certificate and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth.
  • Have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and reliable car for work.
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.
  • Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs and preferably a youth with mental health needs.
  • Experience or familiarity with CRA-related issues.
